In 1993, Suzan's client-centric attitude and strong work ethic compelled her to start Suzan Lami Architects as a sole practitioner. Two years later, she joined forces with Bob Grubb to form Lami Grubb Architects. Today, at LGA Partners, her client focus and positive energy continues to be the driving force behind the firm's reputation as a trusted partner with outstanding commitment to personal service.
Suzan earned her Bachelor of Architecture degree from Carnegie Mellon University and has spent 35 years designing a wide variety of buildings and interior spaces. A significant amount of her work has been in retail, affordable housing, educational and medical facilities. She is passionate about creating places that improve quality of life and draw out the best in the people living and working in the spaces she designs.
Suzan's passion for improving the lives of others extends to her involvement in the community: She is a board member of the Women and Girls Foundation, the Pittsburgh Chapter of the American Institute of Architects and the Edgewood Appeals Board. She is also a past president of several nonprofit boards, including PowerLink, which helps woman–owned businesses grow profitably by assembling advisory panels, and The CLFund, a nonprofit loan fund promoting economic development in the Pittsburgh region.
