Cork Factory

Pittsburgh, PA

This project included renovation and conversion of three historic industrial buildings into a mixed-use development including 297 loft apartments, a new parking deck and ground-floor retail. The project utilized historic tax credits, requiring that the renovation be conducted within these strict guidelines. We worked as the preservation and local architect of record. Our work focused on the exterior building envelope, including new windows, masonry restoration, restoration of the 225-foot smoke stack, coordination of the unit layout with the existing fenestration and application for the tax credits.
