Airmall Pittsburgh and LGA Partners envisioned a new retail Center Core of the Pittsburgh International Airport when we began brainstorming in 2009. That effort has resulted in a reconfiguration that reshaped the center concourse and to better integrate traffic flow and improve the retail experience. We worked with Airest to attract nine new brands to the airside mall, including Bottega dei Sappori, The Beauty Collection, Armani Jeans, Hugo Boss, Tumi, Lacoste, Desigual, Furla and Pinko. We are also working with local artist, Clayton Merrill, to replace the original quarry tile floor with a bright new terrazzo mural. This 65,000-square-foot art installation creates a smooth surface with images of contrails, antique aircrafts and silhouettes of the Pittsburgh skyline.
