Saint Camillus Parish includes a church, social hall, rectory and gymnasium. Our task was to increase the occupancy of the nave while improving the aesthetics and functionality of the church. We proposed extending the nave into an underutilized gymnasium. We also designed an addition, creating an expanded and symmetrical nave. Natural light was introduced with a continuous skylight extending from the narthex to the altar, and three new entrances were designed with steeply sloped roofs to create a more human scale to the building.
