In collaboration with Marshall Retail Group (MRG), LGA Partners completed a series of transformative retail and dining projects at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA). These efforts, concentrated in Concourse E and Terminal 2, aimed to enhance both traveler convenience and the airport’s commercial appeal. By creating functional, welcoming spaces that celebrate local culture, LGA helped redefine DCA as a destination where passengers can relax and explore.
Among the standout additions is The Café at DCA, located at the north and south security checkpoints. Offering La Colombe coffee, fresh sandwiches, and locally sourced snacks, the café combines quick service with sophistication. LGA’s design, inspired by D.C.’s architectural heritage, incorporates classical elements and clean, minimalist finishes. The airy, modern ambiance provides travelers with an inviting space to unwind before their flights.
Another highlight is DC Originals, a marketplace celebrating local artistry and culture. Located in Concourse E, the store features gifts, apparel, and souvenirs from local vendors like The Neighborgoods and Lil Fishy. LGA designed the space to capture the spirit of Washington, D.C., with immersive layouts and thoughtful displays that enhance the shopping experience. This project not only supports local businesses but also offers travelers a unique connection to the city’s vibrant identity.
Complementing these spaces, LGA also contributed to the development of the WH Smith newsstand and the refreshed Capitol File News, both designed to improve circulation and visibility for high-demand items. These enhancements collectively reflect LGA’s commitment to innovative, customer-focused design, elevating DCA’s retail and dining environment into a key part of the traveler experience.
